Comments:
My main rig is in the shop, soI had to use the backup rig this weekend. That 
meant no
rig control via the computer and no roofing filters. Then Murphy paid a visit to 
my qth over the weekend. 

First, the automatic antenna switch blew 12 hours into the contest. Had to rig 
up a 

manual switch that was just outside the shack.The wireless/internet kept 
dropping frequently 

over the entire weekend - probably RF induced (never happened before, though). 
A local noise source caused high QRN from 4:20 PMuntil midnightboth nights. That
meant using the Icom noise blanker causing the AGC to pump with adjacent signals 
{sigh}.
Not to mention that band conditions were not great. Still, only 68 qs short of 
last year's
effort, although with a preponderance of one pointers this year, the overall 
score is
down a bit over 800,000 points. Still had fun though and hope that the club did 
well.
