Highlights and Lowlights:
* Missed Utah. Can you believe that?
* Worked NT in first half hour of the contest and two or three times again after that.
* Had fantastic runs on Saturday. 40 meter CW was really hot.
* Got called by OM2VL on 40 CW and Phone and did double-takes both times because he sounded like local. Still find it hard to believe how strong his sigs were.
* No SO2R, which had a lot to do with the lower score. Some weird problem with the computer and second radio. Would send the first two characters of exchange and stop.
* Had to switch amps halfway through the contest. Brand new relays (1 day old) in the AL-1200, and wouldn't make contact on receive. Henry 3KD, as usual, ran flawlessly.
* With no SO2R, I moved a triband beam on the lower tower (fairly non-essential alluminum) from the second radio antenna switch to the main radio switch and apparently blew up a trap.
* Although the bands were pretty much open to US/Canada, signals seemed weak. On the other hand, EU was hot. We worked a boat-load of EU's.
* Without SO2R, we both decided to sleep overnight. Having done CQP overnight for several years now, it's hardly worth it without SO2R. I just thought some sleep would help the day-time runs.
* Martin had a flight to Paris and had to leave early on Sunday.
