Glad you had some fun. Now try CQP on CW :-)
To answer your questions:
*First question - I'm assuming since I used the band map, that's assisted?
If that's not assisted, is using the computer to send CW assisted?*
Depends ... If you put the calls on your band map yourself, then you're
un-assisted. However, if the calls got there from a packet connection, then
you are assisted. The band map itself is not the issue.
Using the computer to send (and/or copy) CW is NOT assisted.
Assisted is getting help in some way from some other person or machine
outside your shack. So, packet cluster connection is outside your shack.
If you have someone hanging over your shoulder and copying for you .. or
using another radio to find mults for your band map, that's assisted. But
if your computer copies for you (code reader), that's OK. Computer sending
has been the standard for many years now.
*Second Question - is this logged as MLDXCC (spelled out completely) or
NCCC? I'm assuming we are DX and this is DX so we are the club I should
log under?*
MLDXCC (spelled out) for this one. NCCC set Sweepstakes as a focus contest
this year. I suspect that ARRL 10 and RTTY Roundup will also be NCCC focus
events. However, that can change so you need to keep abreast of what NCCC
wants to do. Some years ago, NCCC made CQWW it's focus, and won. Any event
that NCCC does not declare as a focus can be an MLDXCC event. CQWW this
year is for MLDXCC.
I was not in this one, although I wanted to spend some time chasing DX. I
came home last week and found my K3 was sick. Made me sad to see all the
great EU signals on 40 Friday night and not be able to jump in.
