[Mldxcc] Keyboard issue

Installed new keyboard Saturday on hamshack computer.
Worked more or less OK for SS, but when I went to send
from the keyboard (not using canned macro) on RTTY, it
refused to send while using high power.  Seems to send
with exciter power ~50 W.
No ferrite on lead to computer...would one or more beads
lessen or eliminate or should I replace keyboard? What kind
of ferrites??
