I'll be listening for you, Alan.
3 inch brass medal. Now, that's a new one. Congratulations!

Not SS, but going through the pile of bills and other junk mail when I got
home the other day I found a small package with a 3 inch diameter brass
medal .. suitable for wearing or ???.
WRTC 2014
On the back is says "continental leader - most band modes"
Hmmm .. I worked as many WRTC stations as I could find with my 40 meter
inverted vee. Only worked about 20 of them scattered on 15 and 20.. All on
CW I think. I guess most of them were beaming EU. I never worked the
winners: K1A, and I saw a quote from them that they never turned the beam
away from EU unless the rate dropped to zero. That's probably why I never
heard them.
All I was really trying to do is work whatever station Ed was judging to
get a bottle of his fine Rose. Sorry I missed the opportunity to pick up
the bottle but couldn't get to the Dixon meeting, and I flew out of the
area the next day.
I'll be active in SS both modes, so no one should miss the PAC section this
year.
