I made 411 contacts (275 prefixes) as SOA/LP/SSB/PH.

I did S&P most of the time and then on the Sunday I ran a couple of times, mostly in the last hour of the contest. It was my first time running in a contest and as nervous as I was, it turned out to be a good experience; slow pace, stations being patient with me, and no pileups.

I got a surprise when someone answered my call with "K6LRN....Hello Dave". I didn't recognize the call sign but I figured it had to be someone from EDCARC or MLDXCC. Later when I looked up the call sign I then realized who it was. Thank you Dick!

The contest helped me reach DXCC (not all confirmed) and it put me one state shy of WAS.

I'm looking forward to my next contest; the ARRL Rookie Roundup on April 19th.

73....!
