[Mldxcc] MLDXCC Meeting / Speaker Schedule

Hello All,

 

                Here is a quick update on our confirmed speaker schedule for
the next few months.

 

                May 16.  Jay KE6GLA has agreed to give us an overview and
demo of current SDR techniques.   Location Denny's in Cameron Park.

 

                June 20.  Awards.  No speaker.  Location Mountain Mikes,
Martel.

 

                July 25.  John K6MM will talk about the K1N DXpedition.
Looking at The Olive Garden in Stockton.  Close to The Spaghetti Factory.

 

                August 22.  Bob Schmieder KK6EK will talk and update us on
Heard Island.   Planning on The Spaghetti Factory in Stockton.

 

                September 19.  Bob Vallio W6RGG, ARRL Pacific Division
Director.  He suggested speaking about his trip to Kuwait 9K2HN for

                last Novembers CQ WW DX contest and/or BS7H (Scarborough
Reef).  He was one of those Ops working on the wooden

                platforms just above the water.  The location is set for
Rich's office in Lodi with lunch to follow at Habanero Hots.  This was

                suggested by Bob.

  

                We are still working on getting Jim Brown for October or
November.  Location also TBD.

 

                General Meetings would start at 1130 with BOD meeting at
1100.

 

                I hope this helps outline the speaker schedule.  More to
follow as we firm up the July and August locations.

 

                Suggestions are always welcome.  Really.
