They changed their plans (think the page was updated or was that
phone?), there is 10 M CW (as I write) with confirmations posted. Alas,
my call was either miscopied yesterday or a station in SoCal went active
with only one Q so I have to try 10 again (almost as bad a zoo as 30,
where anyone can run legal limit). After 10, I only need 30 (worst
pileup FUBAR ever) for a band sweep.
No, I don't believe that my little station is taking Q's away from those
seeking ATNO and I'm competing against me to see how well I can do with
what I've managed to put together. If I don't make any more Q's, I'm
happy, but I will try for a full card anyway.
The great news for me is that the 160 Q is confirmed (350 watts into a
low dipole), giving me 8 band modes confirmed now. A GREAT effort by
the ops there and only possible after dawn in EU (a reinforced brick,
concrete and steel wall). I'm half way through the scorecard.
Act fast, tear down starts on Friday, QRT at dawn Sunday (theirs, not
ours). Back to 10 M (ugh) then I'll try 30 again (great signals last
night, but JA only so I went to bed).
