Well done Jim! That new Alpha is getting a real workout.
I got them on 20 yesterday, then on 15 this morning for slot #10 (K6MM
op). I suspect a CME hit from the flare a couple days ago, because 10
should be peaking now and I'm not hearing a thing (clusters show them
working EU, no further comment needed). I was planning on making
contact on 10 today, but the noise floor and signal strengths leave me
wondering if it'll be possible. 20 RTTY fell to nothing too.
I'm not hitting it as hard now, so those few that don't have the ATNO
have some time, while the bands are "less" crowded. I would however
like to have something on 10 and 30 for a band sweep... Just a personal
goal.
Yes, the intentional interference is the worst I've ever seen; but so
are the pileups and the sheer number of LIDS that call out of turn,
continuously call, call on the DX frequency... apparently they don't
have receivers or ???
