[Mldxcc] Saturday's NCCC Meeting

I just wanted to thank all of the MLDXCC members who showed up at the meeting yesterday.  To say that this meant a lot to me is an understatement.  You guys are the best and I think you will all agree that I am taking some of the best elements of what this club has done in my efforts to re-energize NCCC.
Examples are the achievements and projects "bragging" that MLDXCC has always made a part of our meetings.  I also want to focus on the recruiting at the local club level....something MLDXCC has done so well.
It was all silence when I asked for everyone to brag about their recent awards, etc.  Then, one of our Mother Lode members said something and that started an almost unending session of "bragging".
I may be the NCCC prez now, but MLDXCC will still be at the top of my list of contest clubs.
Interesting comment from Stu, K6TU, today in an email he sent me.  He said he should move into MLDXCC territory because we seem to be the club that has all the fun.  That's a compliment from Stu, because his PL259 group has focused on fun and done a really good job of it.
