[Mldxcc] [NCCC] IDXC 2016: Hotel Rooms Available This Morning Online - Started at 10:00 AM

Both the Comfort Suites and Marriott at Convention Center were sold out by
10:35 am.  This was confirmed by telephone.

Some of you may have accidentally made a reservation at the Comfort Suites
since it was the only hotel listed at 10 am.  At that time, I called and
they said "Give us a few minutes and the rest of the hotels will be
listed," which did indeed happen.  I got one reservation for myself at the
Marriott, then tried to make a second for N6XI, but by then they were all
gone.

I again talked to a nice lady at the Convention and Visitors Bureau.  She
assured me that it was *not* just one guy booking 20-50 rooms at once that
locked everyone out.

All reservations will transfer from the "passkey" system to the individual
hotel reservation systems no sooner than March 16th, 2016.  At that time
you'll be able to transfer reservations to someone else if needed.  So at
that time usually some rooms will open up as people cancel.
