Hello Mother Lode'ers,
Thanks to everyone who submitted a log for either SS CW or SS SSB.  Also, a big thanks to those who just got on for a short period and contacted our members.
The log deadlines for both CW and SSB have passed.  All log flogging was done via private email.
I've been tracking 8 clubs in the Medium Club category.  As everyone should know by now, the Medium Club category limits a club to 50 logs total (ie: 25 CW and 25 SSB).  We had 44 "official" logs submitted.  This does not include some logs submitted on behalf of MLDXCC by those who have not yet been voted in as members.  These logs will not count.
The ARRL awards the gavel based on the total amount of CW and SSB scores.  We won the gavel last year and we hope to do it again.  Competition has been much more fierce this year.  This is not shooting fish in a barrel as has been the case with no CQP competition.  The Arizona Outlaws beat us in the CW half of the club competition and the Southern California Contest Club has come in much stronger than last year.
We came on big-time in SSB and, based on the claimed scores I have been able to collect, we are in first place.  I do want to note that there are some scores which have just not been published and it will probably be another week or so before I can get my hands on those scores.  At that point, we will have a much better idea where we stand.
The Southern California Contest Club is roughly 400K points behind us, but they have 7 unknown scores.  Two big scores would give them the gavel.  While competition was pretty tight for CW, most of the other clubs just did not shine, as we did, in SSB.  The Arizona Outlaws, with a big lead in CW, fell way down in SSB.
Here is where things stand:
