Hi there Contesters and DX'ers,
 - I have quietly been doing the flogging for SS over the past two weeks.  I have contacted several of you about things like submitting the wrong club name and moving submissions from NCCC to MLDXCC.  I have also been contacted by a few members asking if they should submit their logs on behalf of MLDXCC, based on their score.
 - We currently have 23-24 logs submitted that will qualify under the new rules which require an official club membership list to be submitted prior to the start of the contest.
 - Corrections have been made to the list prior to the start of SSB, so calls that may not count for CW will count for SSB.
 - As Shirl wrote, we had 20 CW logs submitted last year.  We need to be very careful on just how many logs are submitted on behalf of MLDXCC for SS SSB this year.
 - The rules say that Total CW Logs + Total SSB Logs = NO MORE THAN 50.  That means, if we submit more than 26 or so logs for SSB, it could push us into last place in the Unlimited Club Category.  This happened last year with the Mad River Club, who would have won the gavel if they had watched their log count.
 - In the spirit of the rules for the Medium Club Category, we CANNOT tell you not to submit your log.  You can submit your log for NCCC or another club and I can suggest that you may want to submit on behalf of MLDXCC.  If you have submitted on behalf of MLDXCC, I cannot tell you to change your submission.
 - This year, there are several clubs in the race for the Medium Club Category.  The Arizona Outlaws are currently leading the pack, but the scores are very close. It's going to be a fun horse race.  Other clubs in the race include Mad River, Contest Club Ontario, SCCC, and DFW.
 - Last year, we were not leading the pack at this time, but we made up for it in SSB and won the gavel.
 - I am aware of at least one or two who submitted logs for CW and will not be submitting logs for SSB.  Likewise, I am aware of at least 5-6 who will be working SSB and did not submit logs on behalf of MLDXCC for CW.  Since I only made 9888 points, with limited operating time, I did not submit my log on behalf of MLDXCC for SS CW.
 - If you are going to do a limited, low scoring operation, be sure to try to work MLDXCC, PL259, NCCC and REDXA members.  By doing so, every if you don't submit a log for MLDXCC, you will still be helping these clubs.
That's the latest.  We need some big scores in SSB.  Let's all KB!
