Greetings from the Western Placer Amateur Radio Club:


The WPARC Hamfest on Saturday September 16th! Only 17 days away! We have an exciting 1st prize for the drawing – a Rig Expert AA-170 HF/VHF Antenna Analyzer/VNA with a retail value of $395! If you are a ham you need this device. It is a fully contained analyzer that displays graphs of your antenna systems performance. In addition, you can save readings and graphs to your device and display them on your PC using a USB cable. I have used one of these and it does in seconds what takes hours with non-graphing analyzers. Plus, it is much more accurate. It works on all types of antennas – vertical, wire, what ever you need to tune. Plus, this version includes 2 meters! More prizes will be announced soon. We haven't increased the cost for vendors since the first Hamfest 11 years ago. It is still just $10 per parking spot and I think that is helping to drive the growth of the event. We will have coffee, donuts, and water available at the club booth. Last year we had the largest turnout ever with several hundred people and we expect this year to be even larger. If you are looking to buy that special piece of gear or sell something you no longer need the WPARC Hamfest is where it happens.


The gates open at 7:00 AM but we need several volunteers to be there around 5:00 AM to set up and to control parking for buyers and sellers. Gates open at 6:00 AM for vendors.
