SHIRL ROSE AA6K

SATURDAY JULY 29TH, 2:00 PM

 3240 W MARCH LA, STOCKTON

	Shirl's family is gathering for a Celebration of his life tomorrow,
Saturday, July 29th starting at 2:00 PM.  

 This will be at the Residence Inn, 3240 W March Ln, west of I 5 in
North Stockton. 

 Shirl's contributions to the Amateur Radio hobby, Contesting, DXing,
and to this club and its membership are too numerous to begin to list
here.  There were very few endeavors of the club that Shirl was not a
part of.  He organized and contributed to the club's ARRL Field Day
activities and achievements for many years.  He was the W6SF Club
Call Sign trustee.  He held this position for many years until he
relinquished that position last year to relocate and be closer to
family.  Shirl was an avid contester and DXer. Over the years he has
shared his wisdom with the club through presentations supporting
The California QSO Party [1], Contesting and good operating
procedures in general and the DXers Code of Conduct.  

 Come join us in celebrating the life of a wonderful father, husband,
and friend. Dad wasn't into formality, so we're having a party to say
goodbye in the best way we know how! Join Daniel, Jennifer, Brian,
Arthur, Charles and Henry in saying Bonsoir to Shirley and tell some
stories while we're at it. We'd love to visit with as many other our
friends as we can, so let's have some fun the way Dad loved! We're
planning on Food, Stories and Laughter. Cash bar too.
