[Mldxcc] IDXC: Housing & Transportation Needed For 2 Visiting DXers

There are 2 DXers from two different countries arriving in the Bay Area on Wednesday, April 19th.  Both are heading to Visalia for the International DX Convention.  I’ve volunteered to help them find a host and transportation to the IDXC meeting.

Bob Beebe, GU4YOX (from Guernsey, UK)
Bob has been on several DXpeditions over the last few years.  He is our keynote speaker at the Saturday night banquet on April 22.   Bob is arriving in SFO on April 19 at 11:54 PM on Alaska Airlines.  Since he’s arriving so late (really past midnight after baggage claim), he will make arrangements to stay in a hotel near SFO.  He would like to have an assigned host pick him up and show him around a bit on Thursday, April 20, give him a place to stay overnight and then drive him to Visalia on Friday, April 21.  He has made arrangements with Wayne, N7NG for transportation after the convention.

Laurent Thourel, F5TMJ  (from France)
Laurent was on the TO5FP DXpedition to St. Pierre & Miquelon Island last September.  He is arriving in SFO on Wednesday, April 19 at 12:30 PM on Air France and would like to be picked up at the airport.  He is looking for a host for two night's lodging + transportation to Visalia on Friday, April 21  (could team up with Bob Beebe).  Ideally Laurent’s host could take him back to SF on Sunday, April 23 after the meeting, and perhaps offer another night’s lodging.  His return flight from SFO is on Monday, April 24 at 3:10 PM.
