Thanks Bob for the correction on the  Club name for SS logs: Mother Lode DX/Contest Club

I just resubmitted my log to ARRL as I previously had Mother Lode DX & Contest Club
which is the club name shown on 3830 submittal form.  You may want to contact the webmaster at 3830 to let them know the correction for their system too.

  1. A couple of questions came up yesterday regarding the ARRL rules for SS (or any other ARRL contest).

  2. Regarding an operator using another call sign at the same QTH:
  3. 3.3.An operator may not use more than one call sign from any given location during the contest period.

  4. Regarding an operator operating from a different location on Saturday and another operator operating from the same location on Sunday:
  5. 3.5.A transmitter used to contact one or more stations may not be subsequently used under any other call during the contest period, except for family stations where more than one call has been issued, and then only if the second call sign is used by a different operator. (The intent of this rule is to accommodate family members who must share a rig and to prohibit manufactured or artificial contacts.)

To elaborate the above, K6OK and I had planned on operating from W6SR's house.....I would be there on Saturday, Jim would be there on Sunday.  The only way we can legally do this is if a different transmitter is used on each day.

A reminder on the Club name for SS logs: Only this will be accepted:

Mother Lode DX/Contest Club
