Dick,

What you say is all true!

I am getting the dipole up about 20 feet more today.

One of my problems is BIC. Hopefully, I can stay better focused this weekend.

I think last year I had my S&P set up working well by using both receivers in my K3 and a program that shows decoding on both frequencies.  As I am waiting on one guy to finish I can set up for the next one.  Works great, but, like many things, once I get it working well I get bored and move on to trying something else!

I am doing some thinking this week about whether I want to run ā€œUā€ unlimited again this year or not.

I noticed in the results from last year that my best band was 10M.  I suspect that may not be true this year!

Thanks for the advice and CU in the contest.

A lot has to do whether you are running or S&P.
Your rate will be better if you can get runs going & that 9520 points
will come quicker. One does not have to be too concerned about
tuning as most will call on frequency...a few will have RIT or AFC on
& be off. One can often find clear spots higher in the band...but not
too high. (Watch for other modes.)
If you are S&P & can tune stations easily, one ought to do 40-50/hr.
IMO, make expectations low, but if operations go well & you feel up
to it, keep going.
Good luck...HNY & 73,
