Last night I was able to work the guys at VP8SGI on 160 at 0610Z.  His signal was very weak and with QSB.  I managed to get a peak and no DQRM.  I run 1000 Watts into an inverted L, the vertical section is  ~65’, for the ground I have a  8 radials and a 20’ x 30” buried culvert carrying an active stream.  When my neighbors aren’t using their inverter powerd washers and dryers, I have a very low 160 meters noise level. Last night the noise here was S-0 to S-1.
I now have a clean sweep for VP8SGI.
