Look at my 80m SSB slot! They show FOUR
QSOs and I’m pretty sure I didn’t even call them that many times before getting
through the one time I worked them. I can’t explain the online logs, but I didn’t
give them that many reports, let alone in that many different time slots. I
see other apparently duplicate QSOs for other callsigns too, so it is happening
all over.
In any case, if I don’t think a 2-way QSO
took place, then it is not in my log and I will keep trying until I’m satisfied
a valid QSO occurs. The DXpedition ops will just work us again. They
understand as well as we do that QSOs may not be valid on one side or the other
for any number of reasons. As you imply below, they may be taking an
ultra-liberal approach to logging to insure valid QSOs are not left out.
Like I noted originally, we at least know
we’re being heard down there. ;>)

Ed, (W0YK)
You are in their log 3 times on
160cw.
One wonders if QSO's are being
recorded when the contact isn't verified on the air as two-way.

N6ZFO.
Now you have a dilemma . . . . . .
The VP8SGI log says that you did work them!
But you did not have a 2-way communication [I can verify
that because I heard the whole thing] or did you??
Another contact will be a dupe from their perspective, and
they could, I guess, ignore your call, thinking you are a DX'ing lid.
Good luck!

I heard him clearly work N6ZFO. Just before that,
I had a burst of noise for about 5 minutes.
He may have called me during that, or else
the spotlight just didn't stay here long enough.
I was using 1500W to a vertical. It's helpful
to get these reports. Maybe tomorrow...

At 0332Z here in Kelseyville Lake Co I could just hear them . an

At 0530Z, a few dB stronger; I even called them just a couple
times.
At 0648, sunrise, S-5 on peaks on the Eu Beverage.
Amazingly, I worked VP8SGI at 0652 with 150 w to my inverted L.
(Rick, he called N6RK three times. . apparently w/ no answer. . hope
you got him!).
An amusing story: Looking back in my log, found my QSO with VP8ORK on
160m on Feb 3, 2011 at 0650. . 5 years ago to the minute!!!).

Are you saying SR is actually around 0500Z, or that peaking is 2
hours before SR? In any event, I am hearing nothing here on
1826.5
as of 0415Z. They aren't very strong on 80 meters, although
I can
hear them.
