The squeaky wheel is getting lubed?  Or is the quacking duck getting shot?

Today a few er, comments (ok, whining) was present on the NCDXC chat, in particular about the 30M opening this morning (the JA wall was SOLID)...  There were several others involved, it's not sour grapes.  Lo and behold, out of the blue, here is a response, FROM the DXpedition operator himself!

Now THAT is cool, I don't know how else to respond (sent him a thank you though, duh).

Now, if he'd JUST add W6 W7 on the call....  ;-D

Hi Rick/Mike:

I'm one of the 30m ops and, I have to say, I'm always looking for home cooking (w6/w7s).

We have a 30m 4SQ, which seems to play very well and I'm finding LP on greyline at your sunset seems to work best.
We'll be there for the next 12 days ... Good luck!

Small clarification:  OUR dawn, about a half hour after THEIR sunset, plus a half hour either side of it, just because...  work BOTH ends of the grey line, morning AND evening; it's the ONLY 'advantage' [hope] the West Coast pop gun has...  It's simply THAT far away for a wimpy 200 watt 30M station under the current solar conditions.  [Yes, they SUCK! :-D ] If conditions happen to improve for whatever reason, we all win.

As far as getting up early... Until Heard, I gave that up when I retired but momma was right, naps are good.

I second Rick's motion ... I also got up at sunrise (not the first time this week :), saw no 30M, waited, then 30M but the JA monopoly took over.    It would help if they looked for 6's on 30M at dawn and 20M in evening and even the wee hours...
