If someone wants to drive up some dirt roads and throw a dipole in the trees, I can advise some locations for Colusa county that are pretty good. I've always enjoyed CQP county expeditions. It's a way to combine ham radio and camping.

This will be my first attempt at CQP from outside CA. Once in a while turn your beams SW for me! It's really tough working you guys with super F/B ratios. Also, remember that JA's count too.

Really sorry to hear this.  Camp FYNO in Alpine isn't that far from me, however ability to do that is in my past, as is the tent trailer we gave to our grandson.  Hope someone steps up, Alpine Lake Lodge is a pretty nice place, with a great restaurant.  I'll be handing out NV.

As some of you may have noticed, the usual groups that go to Trinity and
Alpine for the CQP are not going to be able to make it this year.  I'm
still waiting to hear from Colusa.

If any of you receiving this have a 100W HF mobile rig or other portable
set-up, and can put either of these counties on the air for CQP next
weekend, please let me know as soon as possible by filling out this
