The bulb in my Yaesu G-1000DXA burned out two years ago and I’ve been too lazy to fix it.  But I recently found a better solution.

HamSupply.com provides a slick Yaesu Illuminator Board consisting of 3 bright LEDs.  For $20.00, I couldn’t resist.  Arrived quickly via USPS.  Nice packaging.  Took 30 minutes to install it.  No soldering.  Clear instructions with excellent Hi Res reference photos on their website.  Looks great in the shack.

HamSupply owner (Wayne, NØUN) also sells a board for Hy-Gain/CDE controllers….plus a few other interesting goodies.

There could be “light at the end of the tunnel” for you too.
