Well, there is an existing contest that combines prefix and suffix for multipliers. It's called a call sign.
CW Open (and CWT) uses each unique call in your log as a multiplier. :-)

Awards aside, wouldn't a CQ Worked All Suffixes contest be just as fun as CQ WPX?  Search the world for as many unique suffixes as you can.

If they want to create a new suffix contest it would be ... wait for it ... OK by me.    ba da dum tiss....

And I just answered a JA card request for the "all suffixes"  (JCA) award. . i.e. every combination of A-Z, AA-ZZ, AAA-ZZZ in.  No award has been given.   There are 18,278 combinations.  I am happy to supply ZFO.  Is it the Mt. Everest of ham awards?  The highest worked and confirmed, as of 2016 is apparently 15,397.  The station asking for the card had 10,057 last year.

This is even more stupid than the WPX award.  No wonder I get huge
amounts of JA cards.  These guys need to get a life.
