Nice, Stefan.  My son and I used to do the VHF contest.

Interesting comment on the 6 meter interference.  There is a small solar powered camera installed this past winter at the Bald Mountain lookout and it seems to have no affect on the six meter repeater.

Subject: [NCCC] AF6SA KK6VIX ARRL VHF

Operated with my son Alex / KK6VIX from Leek Springs lookout
7600ft ASL in Two Operators Single Station (Dad/Son) mode.
Started Saturday at noon. Site has some RFI (birdies/hash) on 6M from Solar power. WX changed quickly  from sunny to heavy rain/thunderstorm, forcing us to operate inside the car and we left at 5:30.
Antennae:
6M: 3el DK7ZB Yagi
2M/432: 5+8el DK7ZB dual band Yagi
TRX: IC-7100
Power: Solar / Battery
We need a rotor!!!
Login / operating two call signs on one PC and one station is a challenge.
Tried the new FT8 mode and made 2 additional 6M contacts Sunday from home.

Band   Mode  QSOs     Pts  Grd  Pt/Q
    50  FT8     15      15    5   1.0

KK6VIX made 33 Q's.
Thanks to all for the Q's!
