I've been waiting for Chris to weigh in since he indicated he would be providing some note on what occurred at the Pacific Division leadership meeting a couple of weeks ago, but I at least want to get this out there.

Extreme displeasure with the code of conduct was voiced by the majority of the audience. Bob was asked if he would make a motion at the next BOD meeting to repeal the code of conduct and Bob agreed to do so. No mention was made of reversing the censure of N6AA.

It's my opinion that the censure of N6AA is the first step in having him removed from the board, either by some type of back room disqualification or by smearing him so that his division does not reelect him.

Al and Fred are spot on. Taking your ball and going home is not the way for positive change. We need to drive the elected representative process.

I would like to see the leadership of all the various clubs of which we are members come together and request a formal motion be made to the board to reverse the censure of N6AA during the January meeting.  A unified message from NCCC, MLDXCC, REDXA, NCDXC, PL-259, etc. and any I haven't thought of that we are members of.

Since this is a mostly Pac Division discussion list, preferably this motion be brought by our elected Director, Bob Vallio, W6RGG.

I realize this is potentially uncomfortable, but enough talk. Time for action within the current system.

I feel the need to re-iterate Fred's earlier comments.

Please do NOT drop you're ARRL membership over this issue. If you're not a member, you can't vote.

If you want to help correct this situation, and are not a member, please consider joining so that you CAN vote.

ARRL is very useful as the USA national organization. There is a long historical relationship with the FCC and government in general. It would be unwise to throw that away. The BOD has a meeting in Jan. Let's give them a chance to correct their course. They must know by now that they've kicked a hornet's nest.
