To all concerned...

ever since I got started using computer logging I have used NA for the
Sweepstakes....and every year I have had NO problems with the program....

I want to thank K8CC for his efforts in providing me a fun piece of
software....my QCAO/less than techno-friendly self always stays a little
behind the times but this year was a big move for me - I went to automation of
the main radio, I know - alot of you did it 10 years ago...I hadn't...

Thanks to some help from K8CC I was able to fabricate a nice little box which
housed the DATOM band controller driven by the OmniVI....all weekend long it
worked perfectly...the Omni hung up about 6 or 8 times...but it was merely a
matter of an off and on of the power switch to return to the exact freq so
nothing was lost...I gather the Omni has a mod to help keep RF out of it at
the connector....I chose 5 split ferrite beads on a 25 wire cable...that
worked pretty much so FB.

All weekend long NA called the shots....with the linking of the computer and
the rig as well as my bandpass filter switching I really dreamed I had the bux
to add an Alpha 87A for a no touch linear....the linear was the only box I
touched!  Every band move was generated at the keypad....very slick, and:

IT WORKED PERFECTLY ALL WEEKEND LONG.....not quite a top ten finish but it
will be almost in the big box I am sure @ 1380 QSOs......

THANKS DAVE _ You made the weekend a real kick....now if only I had had time
to get that lower 20 meter beam up, oh well.....wait til next year.....and you
KNOW what software I will be using!
