Upon further investigation the timing problem seems to be isolated to 
the use of the radio bandwitch buttons and not the ALT up or down on the 
  computer keyboard. When using the ALT up or down on the keyboard there 
seems to be no delay. Using the 1000mp 'button' bandswitch to change 
bands is where the delay is noticed. That being said, this delay does 
not appear in NA1056.

Hope this clarifies the minor problem for Dave and others. Now back to 
listening to dead air in the 'microwave activity day' on 432!
