[NA-User] ANNOUNCEMENT WINDOW Colors?

Hi All,
I haven't used the announcement window much but plan to this coming weekend.
How can I change those
AWFUL  red characters on a green screen?  I tried
several changes to the config file but haven't figured how.
Another newbie question is... should spots appear on
the BAND MAP like CT does?
