 Another thought to try would be a dual boot machine. That can be
accomplished in several ways. I just built one by partitioning a large
hard drive, installing W98 on a small partition and then installing XP
on the large partition.

XP modifies the boot files to allow you to choose which OS to start.

You could also install a second hard drive and install DOS/W98 on one
drive and install XP on the second drive. This is assuming you have a
motherboard that will allow you a boot choice between hard drives.

Has anyone had luck running NA using one of the  free DOS emulators on a
windooz machine? The shack 'puter with the original DOS hardrive is
getting long in the tooth and may need to be replaced soon. I assume
there will be problems with ports and such but any luck out there?
