Tim et al...
I've never had a homeowner's claim with an antenna tower collapse. Had a
couple of power poles fall, pulling out service entrances on homes....and
lots of trees go down. The biggest single residential fire insurance
claim I ever saw was a huge maple tree that fell on a condo complex in
Poland, Ohia...total damages in the high six figgers.
BTW I rode past Mount Duffy yesterday and Our Lady of Propogation smiled
on K3LR once again...saw no damage from I-80 at least.
FYI guys, not a bad time to review your homeowner's insurance policy with
your agent...make sure that your Other Structures/Dwelling Extensions
coverage is sufficient to cover all towers/antennas/detached
garages/fences/pole barns/in ground swimming pools etc. The standard
Homeowner's policy gives you 10% of your Home coverage for Dwelling
Extensions...might be enough...might not.
3s and 8s,
Ray
