[NCC] Info from K8MR via K8AZ

To the NCC Warriors:

Jim, K8MR asked me to forward the following to the NCC membership:


I'd like to extend a personal invitation/reminder to NCC members to take
part 
in the Michigan QSO Party, sponsored by the Mad RIver Radio Club, on 
Saturday, April 21.

The contest runs from noon to midnight, EDT, Saturday only.  QSOs once
per 
band/mode, multipliers for each MI county on CW and SSB (83x2=166). 
Full 
rules, county lists, etc., are at the MRRC web site,   
qsl.net/mrrc      .

This should be a fun contest for anyone with a good shot to MI, as is
the 
case here on the North Coast.  In addition to all those MI guys who fill
your 
SS logs, we will have at least 6 mobile teams with good operators
covering 
all 83 counties.  In addition to myself (with W8DRZ) we have K8CC/W8MJ, 
W8AV/AF8A, K8XXX (K8AQM & crew), W8RU, and W1NN.  Last year we activated
82 
counties, with only a late season snow and ice storm in the Upper
Peninsula 
keeping the UP team from meeting its appointed rounds in the 83rd.

I hope many of you will find a few hours (or more!) to get on the air
and 
pass out some qsos to me and the rest of the MI guys on the 21st.
