Please note: Gooseapalooza II is one week hence! Looks like a big
contingent of NE Ohio NCC'ers will be headed down, so please put it on your
calendar. Per K8DX's earlier message, this will also count for an NCC
meeting.
73,
Tom, K8AZ

Subject: Gooseapalooza II
Now that work has finally settled down after three very hectic weeks, it's
time to get the final head count from all that are planning on attanding
the
Mad River Radio Club/North Coast Contesters get together(a.k.a.
Gooseapalooza
II) at W8AV next Saturday July 28. As of right now I know of six people for
that are "for sure's" with at least four coming from Michigan.
Satrting time is 12 Noon and we will break up between 5 and 6. I will
provide the meat (burgers and wieners), pop and beer, and potato salad and
chips. If you feel inclined to bring something, tht is fine. The final
head
count is necessary so that I can be sure to heave enough food on hand to
feed
the masses.
Since I don't have the e-mail addresses for a lot of NCC types, please
spread this around and get a head count back to me by Tuesday so that I have
enough lead time to order the burgers from the local butcher. Also please
bring you own folding chair to sit on. I have a limited supply of lawn
furniture here which I am sure will quickly be grabbed up by the attendees.
For you bicycle enthusiasts, K8MR, W8AJ, and N8VW are planning what Jim
calls the "Tour of Gooseland Bicycle Event" which will take place Saturday
morning. Contact Jim if you are interested. You can use the shower here
after the bicycling event to de-grime yourselves, just bring your own towel.
KYFC that the weather is nice. If it rains we can use the house and the
barn
to keep dry. I can provide directions upon request Hope to see you all
here!
