Scott:
I did a similar thing to exhaust the air out of my
bathroom. I wanted to move more volume and
reduce the noise. By mounting two fans in the
attic and connecting them to a grill in the bathroom
with 4" PVC, I succeeded. If I do the same thing again,
I will make sure I install a flexible section as that
would reduce the noise even more.
You might consider the following:
What will happen to the double-faced tape when it
gets warm?
White flexible dryer hose will probably conduct
less noise than the metal and could be removed
and stored when not needed.
There is a limit to how far you can exhaust a
dryer. I think it is about 25'. You can probably
look that up in your dryer instruction book
Good luck.
