Hi All,

A brief reminder that the ARRL 10m Contest is this weekend. It starts this
evening at 7pm EST and runs 48 hours. You may operate 36 hours and choose
ssb only, cw only or mixed mode. As in most ARRL contests, each entry class
has QRP, LP and HP categories.

10m has been good for the past several weeks and the forecast is for more of
the same during the weekend. The band seems to start opening between 1200z
and 1230z with signals from the SE coming through first, followed shortly by
good signals from EU. Your milage/openings may vary according to available
hardware. My observations were made with an A4S at 60ft.

NCC hopes to make some noise this weekend, so get on and take a break from
Christmas shopping.

BTW..don't forget the wildly popular NCC net nite coming up this Tuesday
(Dec.17) on 3825 at 8pm.

73,
Ron, K8NZ
