Hi to All,

It's time to do our SSB thing. We need to follow up our excellent CW score with a great SSB effort. Forget about the splatter induced headaches and focus on high rates. Suppress the agony of split frequency operating and enjoy all those African, Asian and Pacific mults that you never hear on code.

Here are a few operating tips for the SSB challenged who want to maximize score in the time available:

   1. Run, run, run. S&P only if you must.

   2. "Go high young man." Generally the higher you go on 10, 15 or 20m (especially 10m), the easier it is to find a useful run frequency. Great rate can be had above 14.3, 21.4 and 28.75.

   3. Don't get sucked into excessive calls on a juicy mult pileup. (Unless you really want that new one to make DXCC Honor Roll). If you don't get thru in 3-4 calls, put the frequency into your XCVR memory and come back to it in 10-15 minutes. Keep a scratch pad handy to help you remember what's in memory.

Have fun this weekend and don't forget to post your score to ncc@contesting.com
