The real question is - are these the "special" Kenwood style 8-pin DIN 
connectors?  For some unfathomable reason, there are two different style of 
8-pin DIN connectors in this world, and only one will fit Kenwood and Yaesu 
radios.

I have a local store which carries the Kenwood style, but if I recall, I've 
never been able to get the Radio Shack version to fit.
