Hello to all!

I hope everyone is putting the finishing touches on their fall antenna
projects. This time next week we will be deep into the 2003 CQWW SSB contest. NCC
has always played CQWW very hard, so please make every effort to get on and
score big.

NCC Net Night: Thursday, Oct. 23rd at 7:59edst 3825 +/-. Get CQWW updates
and chat with your friendly NCS, W8CAR.

Expected NCC Operations for CQWW:

       PJ2T M/2 from Curacao by K8NZ, K1AR, W1MD, WC4E and N8BJQ. NCC will
get 20% of this expected big score. Look for all 5 ops. to operate outside the
contest as PJ2/home call with possible six meter activity if conditions
warrant. NZ will provide updates via the club e-mail reflector. For skeds, etc.
contact me via nzharps at aol.com as we will have internet access on the island.
QSL for contest QSO's via N9AG.

K8AZ M/s..Tom's crew came close last year with a best ever #2 finish
in this contest. Last minute preparations are under way to see if they can
move up one more notch.

K3LR M/M ?? This writer is cheering for Tim to make a grand comeback
to the CQWW wars after a protracted absence. Hopefully work commitments, etc.
will allow enough time for this great station to return to the air.

ANYBODY ELSE???? Let us know your plans.

K8AZ BBQ Report: The annual K8AZ crew BBQ was held just a short few weeks
ago. In addition to great food (mountains of chicken and ribs) and drink, Tom
provided each operating crew member with a duplicate plaque for recent station
victories in ARRL DX CW and SSB. It was a great way to show appreciation for
all the effort that goes into being one of the top Multi-op teams in the USA.
In attendance were: K8AZ, K8BL, K8MR, K8NZ, K8PP, N8TR, W8CAR, W8GN, W8KIC,
WB8K, WT8C and their spouses.

73,
Ron, K8NZ
