Good story, John, and reminiscent of many of my own Three Stooges
projects.  Good thing it's fun!  You're right, it doesn't get easier with
age.  One thing that's made my life easier is using eight-pin Cinch
connectors (taped and sealed) about a foot out from each of the several
rotators.  Aside from facilitating swap-out, this allows testing the
rotor before hauling it up.
 
I haven't been active from the hill much lately.  I can't drive up until
I clear the woods for a new path, as the eroded "driveway" has revealed
many very old and fascinating artifacts that have consumed my time and
