[NCC] Ohio QSO Party - August 28

Well, it's now August, which means the 2004 Ohio QSO Party is coming soon -  
Saturday, August 28, noon to midnight EDT.
 
I hope you've been making  your plans.  Planned  operations can now be posted 
on the OQP web site,   _www.oqp.us_ (http://www.oqp.us/)    by  going to the 
link "Countyops".  Let others know what you'll be doing for  OQP!  
 
And maybe we'll get some normal conditions this year!  The nasty  sunspots 
that caused the auroras a few weeks back passed around the sun a few  days in 
advance of the 27 day cycle that would get the OQP weekend.  Keep  your fingers 
crossed, but there is reason for optimism.
 
 
The OQP has two new features this year:
 
1.  A "Rover" category that lets you operate from multiple counties  without 
the need for a mobile setup.
 
2.  A plaque for the highest scoring single operator phone station in  Ohio.  
You can still make CW qsos and enter mixed mode to be eligible for  this.  
The winner will be the determined only by the phone part of the  log.
