[NCC] DVS-2 Yaesu voice recorder

Has anybody had any experience with the DVS-2 voice recorder with the Mark-V?????   I find the playback audio, through the headset or speaker, to be absolutely horrible.  Actually, horrible is good....destorted almost beyond unintelligentable is more the descripition....

I have tried three sets of headphones, including a brand new set.  So I know its not the headsets.   I have also tried the Heil Goldline, Heil pro headset, and the stock mic that comes with the rig....results are all the same...

I haven't heard anybody on the air criticize my audio while using transmitting with the DVS for calling, but bands have not been that great so perhaps it was too hard to notice.
