Comments:
Congratulations to all of the Multi Multi stations especially, W3LPL and
KC1XX.
Also, thanks to the fine contestmen that manned the K3LR station this
weekend.
You were amazing!
These were challenging conditions, but exciting too! This is why there
are no
contests held on the Internet. The propagation Gods always deliver a
new set of
obstacles to work around and that is what makes radio fun!
John, N2NC did a spectacular job on 160. He had a 20 minute run of
European
stations that hi-lighted his very fine effort. Johns breakfast cooking
both
mornings after sunrise was a welcome addition to the K3LR shack.
Sal, WM2H came out of contest retirement to operate 80 meters. A fine
job
indeed! Sal provided the spirit of winning and also whipped up a batch
of his
famous Chocolate Mouse. Needless to say, everyone gained weight this
time due to
the increased kitchen activity. When conditions are down, the eating
rate is
up!
What a team on 40 meters! Pat, N9RV and Bill, W2RQ were amazing. Great
rates at
times and pile up busting tactics. They have it all.
Andy, N2NT and John, K1AR have operated together in a multi multi band
assignment before. It was 23 years ago at W2PV! Their teamwork this time
was
unbelievable. They cleaned up the 20 meter band in style. Absolutely
outstanding
work by these two contest veterans. Good job!
TEAM Union Able was our 15 meter dream team. Phil, K3UA and Rus, K2UA
kept
their butts in the chairs and made it happen. Lots of scatter path and
bent path
QSOs.
George, N3GJ and Mike, N2MG made the most of a difficult 10 meter band.
Only one
European station made it into their log. These guys know all about the
Sounds
of Silence!
Thanks to Dave, W9ZRX and Scotty, N3RA that help with advise and support
all
along the way.
We are looking forward to operating CQWW in the fall. See you then!
Very 73,
Tim K3LR
