Congrats to Tim and the fine operators of the K3LR TEAM.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and a successful contest. Sort of a good/bad weekend for a contest? Thanksgiving crowd, kids, grandkids, friday shopping trips. Hve great xyl that got rid of everybody and took care of the issues that allowed me to play radio saturday and sunday.
Hope what little success I had helped the NCC??? I love cw, but it just takes me too long to get in the rhythm before the contest is over. I was quite pleased with my 40 / 80 contacts. Usually 15 is the majority of my qso's, but condx on 40 / 80 here were fine. I promised myself all summer that I would take old dipoles down and replace them, but naturally I didn't. I am blessed with numerous trees, just too damn many and not enough linear room. I had one neighbor that was going to let me use trees in his yard, but he moved and new neighbor afraid that wire will fall on her kids??? Oh well.. I have inverted V on 40 and 80 coming off my tower, but feel they are too directional? Oh well, next summer?????

Still a love / hate relationship with the FT 1000 Mark V Field... Friend gave me his Ten Tec Orion friday nite to use for the contest, but figured it wasn't the time to learn a new radio... did some listening with it during contest. Is quite the rig! Will check it out during the week..
