[NCC] NAQP/Shannon

To the NCC Warriors:
 
I spoke tonight to Ron, K8NZ, about the proposal for NCC, MRRC and FCG guys to use "Shannon" as their name in NAQP tomorrow.  His response -- with a catch in his voice  -- was "that's cool......that's, uh,.... that would be......I'm overwhelmed.....that would be absolutely wonderful."  He then asked if the weekend was CW or SSB.  When I told him it was CW, he expressed his sympathies to the log checkers.  
 
But Ron is clearly moved by the gesture (TU K8MR!) and I encourage all NCC, MRRC and FCG teams to use "Shannon" as your NAQP name this weekend.  It will be a thought that will be remembered for a long, long time.
