Wasn't going to do much in this one....condx not the best, blah,
blah....tried Thursday after work to put up an Inv L for 160 to work
K5D....got the radial plate down and 5 radials and that was it....started
late Friday, had to take my brother in law shopping....without proper prep I
just cant stay up late anymore....quit abt 9:30...worked EU Sat am, took a
break a little afternoon to finish the Inv L while the sun was out and
before the snows came (again!!)...anyway ended up with
918x239=658,206....low power, butternut for 80/40 and Steppir for 20/15,
never heard a peep on 10....were condx great on 40 or does my vertical ( I
did alot of work with radials, etc this summer) just play better than my old
rotary dipole at 55 ft? I found EU very easy to work with 100w and my
vertical.....quit early Sat night too...maybe next year I'll get plenty of
rest and stay up at least thru EU sunrise...worked 9 countries on
160....including the KP5 shortly after the contest !!!!
