Hi Tom,

Yes, the cq-contest and Hamvention reflectors have been buzzing about the
change.

Not sure why the Hamvention folks (DARA) did not get a group rate this year
with the Crowne Plaza.

The Crowne Plaza ownership changed a few months ago, so that may have
something to do with it.

I made my reservation at Crowne Plaza on July 1st for 2011 Hamvention as 
they requested. They told me that the 2011 rates would be $209.00 a 
night (plus taxes?). This was due to no one reserving the hotel for 
hamvention which would have given the discount rate of around $154.00. 
Was anyone else told this? I hope she was wrong.
