I intend to be on this year, for the first time in several years....bad time
of year for me, with family and hunting season rapidly approaching, but I'll
be on as much as I can.....I want to try my new 40m vertical aray....I
phased 2 40m verticals with switching to EU and VK....at first I thought it
was working great, I broke 2 big piles the first night fairly quickly, but
testing on the Reverse Beacon Network, it's no louder than my rotary
dipole....I do have about 10db difference between the two directions, so I
have to assume that part is working but when the skimmers in EU pick up my
CQ, the rotary dipole is either even or 1 db louder than the array....oh
well, we'll see what happens.....Rule #1 of low power contesting, "You're
only as loud as you think you are" .....

Good Luck and Go Warriors !!!!!
