Nice going & great writeup!!!
 
I think I heard Jim work you once in the early evening. It's nice having a monitor
speaker while I drove and he operated so I could appreciate what he was doing
back there at the master control console. He sure has it down to a science
running all those stations while in motion!!  Amazing to behold!!!
 
The back roads of MI can be very interesting at night when you don't know if
Big-Foot is going to come out of the treeline which is 2 feet from the road and
there is no light to be seen within 5 miles!!!  Seeing the stars from the non-polluted
North Country is fantastic!
 
Had a great time & it seemed like there was real good activity from where I sat.

Club: North Coast Contesters

Comments: Always remember to tell your N1MM program you're in MI to start 
the test or it doesn't let you log states! After losing 10 minutes to that 
goof-up everything went pretty well. Operating from the corner of four 
counties to start is great! -- Except when the local STJO sheriff checks out 
your car because it was reported as 'abadoned' with 'out of state plates 
(Ohio)'. He was nice and there was  no problem. He did ask what the cw 
paddle was for!!  I managed to activate 11 counties.

Everything worked well after the section snafu.  Had a great start and had 
an over 70 hour at 1800 but never got close to that again during the 
day/night. Lots of in state activity and worked more counties than ever 
before - 47 of 166 possible band/mode. Had lots of DX call in 
(DL,OE,G,HA,OK,OM) with OM2VL leading the pack with 8 QSOS and he was 
LOUDEST on 40-we made both 40 CW and SSB contacts! Bob, W0BH, wins the best 
mover award with 19 Qs in 11 counties. Heard both K8MR and W1NN but they 
never heard me. Tom, KV8Q, managed to work me in all 11 counties-I believe 
he is the only one to do that. Seemed like he was there whenever I fired up 
in a new county.

The 20 and 40 Hamsticks worked well as usual but the TWO sticks I had for 
80/75 seemed to interact with each other and I felt like an alligator on 80 
cw and 75 but did manage to make QSOS. Seemed like either would tune to the 
other frequency but neither worked well at all. Wonder what other mobiles 
experienced on 80/75. I certainly could hear okay but working anyone was 
like pulling teeth and running was a bust on 80/75.

At the end of the contest, while driving home the Ohio Turnpike Commission 
arranged for orange barrels to cover the ENTIRE route home-including a few 
right in the middle of the road! Luckily, the trucker I followed slowed way 
down and put his flashers on to warn other drivers. YEAH, Ohio!

Only electrons were annoyed in this endeavor and I had lots of fun.
