[NCC] Fw: Fwd: [MRRC] Rare QSL For Sale on eBay!

Here are 2 rare ones - attached $.10 each for members, $500.00 for
non-members ;)

In 1993/94 I ran NYC and LA Marathons to raise $ for Sloan Kettering. I was
sponsored by Icom and others and a $ amt was donated for every Q I made. It
was billed as a contest between NYC and LA to see who could raise more Money
(NY, my home team won). All Qs were logged remotely from tall buildings as
well as audio taped. As I recall, my Q Rate was higher than any contest I
have worked and I expect that I may hold the dubious record for most Qs made
while running a Marathon. Oh how I wish I could do as well as a NCC member

It's hard to believe 2x1 Calls went back that far until you actually see one
like Tim's. COOL! Who in the world would be selling it?
Do they even have a clue what it is?

Paul's mention of cards like KL7MF brought back lots of memories and I have
that one & can picture it perfectly. It might have been my first KL7 QSL way
back when!

My XYL comments every now and then about why I keep "all those shoe boxes of
cards". I just tell her about all the memories they conjure up when I go
through them. To many Hams they are actually pieces of art.

I actually went thru some of the over 9,000 listings ... some of those QSLs
are a real hoot ... sort of a lost "art' anymore. If they're really worth
$10 apiece, I'm dusting off my 50 yr collection...

Anyway, my purpose was to see if I recognized any ... KC4USA, KL7MF, KV4AA
came to mind ...  and then I gave up after a dozen pages .
