Hola and HNY to the NCC Warriors!

Very much looking forward to seeing the gang at K8AZ on January 7.  For
those who want an address for the GPS:

The open house starts at 3 pm and will go until around 7, with pizza,
snacks and beverages served.  About 7, we'll convene the annual NCC
meeting.  We'll discuss dues, contest participation, the club's "circle",
election of new members, and other topics.  If you have something for the
agenda, please let me know beforehand if possible.  The weather looks to be
fantastic for this time of year.

Congratulations to the NCC!  The ARRL has -- for the sixth consecutive year
-- awarded NCC with the Medium Club gavel for the ARRL DX Contest.  (ARRL
Letter is attached.)  Way to go Warriors!

Last year, NCC donated funds -- matched by generous individual cash
contributions -- to the WWROF, the non-profit that, among other projects,
funds the printing of the CQWW Certificates and provides funding for the
computers that do contest recordings to check for rules violations (e.g.
for stations with more than one simultaneous signal  per band.)  (K3LR and
I are WWROF directors.)  This year, Tim and I are offering to match all
donations made (up to $1k total) with our own dollar-for-dollar
contributions.  So bring cash or your checkbooks.!  All donations are tax
deductible.  WWROF is a fully-qualified 501(c)(3) entity.

We'll also discuss a future financial contribution toward the WRTC-2014
effort and the sponsorship of a WRTC tent (perhaps in memory of our fallen
Warriors).  However, we will not be raising those funds this year -- and
simply need to be thinking about how to contribute -- as one of the USA's
premier contest clubs -- to the effort next year as the time grows closer.
